Have A Christ-Filled Summer at St. Helena Baptist Church
It’s a busy time at SHBC this summer. After a successful Migrant Ministry Week, and a celebration of Father’s Day, we now turn to other planned events. First, we have the Fourth of July, when we commemorate our country’s birth.
It was for freedom that Christ set us free;
therefore, keep standing firm and do not
be subject again to a yoke of slavery.
Galatians 5:1 NASV
Next, we have Vacation Bible School beginning July 11, and going through the 15th, 6 to 8:30 PM. The theme this year is ‘Submerged’- helping children to submerge themselves in God’s Word, and discovering how Jesus looks deep inside a person to know them, and not just by judging the outside.
Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my concerns. See
if there is any offensive way in me;
lead me in the everlasting way.
Psalm 139: 23-24 HCSB
Then, in August, some schools are beginning to start,
and yearly SHBC events for children begin again.
Where there is no guidance, a
people falls, but in an abundance
of counselors there is safety.
Proverbs 11:14 ESV
