It’s another New
Year, and, as is the custom, many will be making New Year’s Resolutions.
Staying fit and healthy, and losing weight are the top two resolutions, according to the Nielsen Company.
But, –
- What if we made a resolution that, if kept, could ensure guidance, love, and blessings for a lifetime and beyond?
- What if we resolved to read the Bible through this year, and absorb this word directly from God?
- What if we read it, accepted it, lived it, and shared it with everyone possible? We believe it would lead not only to eternal life, but would produce a better world for all of us to experience here.
At St. Helena Baptist, we hope to encourage just this. For over a decade, the church has given every first-time visitor, adult or child, a Bible. We hope to make this year- 2016, the year for Christ, and help to fulfill resolutions that could be everlasting.
Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness. Psalm 65:11 KJV
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Romans 15:4 KJV
